Context
Humane’s AI Pin can “see” the world in front of the person wearing the device. To see as much of the world as possible, photos are taken with a wide aperture lens.

Humane isn’t prescriptive about how people wear Pin, but most people wear the Pin just under their collarbone. It sits on the wearer’s top using a magnetic, removable battery booster that attaches to the back of the device.

I work on physical objects (furniture, consumer hardware, sculpture, etc) and need to constantly take notes & photos to document my projects. Theoretically, the Pin should be the perfect tool to do just that.

Problems
But my experience taking photos with the Pin has been frustrating. Reasons why:
1. I don’t know know what’s in my field of view, since there’s no screen to help me frame
2. I can’t ask it to focus on and/or frame a specific subject that’s in front of me
3. I can’t rely on a consistent field of view because I wear it with different tops, in a slightly different position each time
4. I don’t like the way the Pin always looks out-of-place when I add it to an outfit that I’ve intentionally put together (rather than an accessory that “frames” it on an overall outfit)

For this garment concept, I’m focused on trying to design an accessory for the Pin that solves the inconsistent field-of-view (#3) and the Pin feeling out-of-place on an outfit (#4).

Solution
An accessory designed to be worn over any garment, which holds the Pin in a fixed position in order to create consistent field of view for photos.
